What is The Fuji Shibazakura Festival?
The Fuji Shibazakura Festival is a springtime floral celebration at the base of Mount Fuji in Japan. Each year, around 500,000 shibazakura (pink moss) flowers bloom across the Fuji Five Lakes region, creating a sweeping carpet of pink beneath Japan's most iconic mountain. Held from mid-April through late May, the festival combines nature walks, local food stalls, and some of the most photographed floral scenery in the country.
