What is Sweetness Week?
Sweetness Week (Semana de la Dulzura) is a much-loved Argentine tradition held July 1–7, when people give a sweet or candy in exchange for a kiss. It started in 1989 as a candy-brand marketing campaign and grew into a nationwide celebration of affection, friendship, and small gestures. Across the week, friends, couples, and coworkers swap treats and kisses to share a little sweetness.
