What is Dysautonomia Awareness Month?
Dysautonomia Awareness Month, observed every October since 2012, shines a light on a family of conditions that affect the autonomic nervous system — the part that regulates heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, temperature, and digestion. Launched by Dysautonomia International, the month raises awareness, lowers diagnostic delays, and supports the more than 70 million people worldwide who live with these conditions. Turquoise is the awareness color; wearing a turquoise ribbon or sharing resources is a simple, visible way to start a conversation.
