What is Fiesta de la Tirana?
The Fiesta de la Tirana transforms the small northern Chilean town of La Tirana into a dazzling blend of faith and culture, drawing tens of thousands to honor the Virgen del Carmen. Legend says it began with an indigenous princess who converted to Christianity, and Spanish missionaries later wove local traditions into Catholic devotion.
