What is National Kitten Day?
National Kitten Day celebrates kittens and raises awareness for the many that need rescue and homes. Founded in 2012 by pet behaviorist Colleen Paige, it encourages adoption, volunteering, and donations to cat charities. Moved from December to July to align with peak kitten season, it also promotes spaying and neutering to ease overpopulation.
