What is World Rum Day?
World Rum Day, held on the second Saturday in July, celebrates the spirit distilled from sugarcane along with its rich heritage and global community of producers, bartenders, and fans. Founded in 2019 by Paul Jackson of the World Rum Guide, it honors rum's centuries-long story. The spirit rose to prominence in the 17th-century Caribbean and even served as currency in colonial America.
