What is Thirsty Thursday?
Thirsty Thursday, on the first Thursday in July, is all about enjoying favorite beverages and socializing with friends as an early start to the weekend. The term originated in Minor League Baseball, coined in 1983 by Ron McKee of the Asheville Tourists. It spread through college culture and into workplaces as people embraced a little midweek merriment.
