What is World Sports Journalists Day?
World Sports Journalists Day honors the reporters who turn sporting events into compelling stories that bring fans closer to the action. Sports journalists do more than share scores—they shape how we see the game through coverage, analysis, and features. It was established in 1994 to mark the 70th anniversary of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS), founded at the 1924 Paris Olympics.
